How to Join Us

Membership in the Orlando Chapter

Joining the local Chapter will automatically give you membership in the Florida Division, Southeast District, and the International Organization.  (Vice-versa, joining the International Organization will NOT automatically give you membership in the local Chapter.)

Types of Membership:

Professional Member:

Currently (or within the last 2 years) employed as an Administrative Professional or a holder of the Certified Professional Secretary (CPS) or Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) rating; OR an employed teacher of business education. 

Professional-Merited Member:

A person who has been a Professional Member for five years at the time of retirement; AND has either attained the age of fifty-five years or received forced work retirement because of physical disability.

 

Student Member:

A full-time student in business education. (Student Membership limited to four years)

 

Associate Member:

Available to businesses, educational institutions, or individuals who share the objectives of IAAP, and who wish to support its programs.  This classification allows the company to own the membership and specify a contact person for the company.

The Initial Membership Dues Are:

    Professional Member: $116.00 ⁽³⁾
    Student Member: $73.50 ⁽³⁾
    Associate Member: $195.00 ⁽³⁾

Notes:

1. The membership dues quoted above are for the Orlando Chapter and include simultaneous membership in the Florida Division, Southeast District and International units of the organization; 
2. Membership dues quoted above pertain to residents in the U.S., its territories, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and Canada (residents outside those areas have slightly higher membership dues);
3. Membership dues quoted above for Professional and Associate members include a $15.00 processing fee which is collected only with the initial dues.
